Charleston For The Day

Yesterday we drove down to Charleston to pick up daddy from his "Mancation". Of coarse, it rained the whole way down. It was cloudy all through lunch which seemed to fit all of our moods. After going in circles through town, a frustrated mommy, a grumpy daddy and a sick Duh, we finally got to eat. It was a complete failure, lunch was expensive and Riley was a COMPLETE mess. Once we were finished eating we all tried to collect ourselves and continue on with our day. I was determined to get to the beach and have a great time but was convinced the day would be a failure.

The sky opened up as we stepped onto the sand. We played in the water. Riley was so amused by the water splashing against her feet the going back into the ocean. It was rough out there, anytime the tide went back it knocked her over into the next wave. She just laughed it off and continued to play.

My little dare devil wanted to go deeper and deeper into the ocean despite the amount of water in her lungs. She would choked then laughed it off. She still wanted to go deeper into the ocean. We played in the sand and watched the birds venturing home just in time. The clouds rolled in as we drove away
Duh and Riley passed out in the backseat Riley had an absolute blast.

She slept the whole way home, waking up just in time to eat dinner and play with baby Zoie.
