Developments:
So i was laying in bed last night thinking about how much Riley eats. (because that's what we all do right?) only to discover that there is no way my child is eating enough. she is still on a 3 hour schedule at 5 months old. i am estimating that she eats 3 0z each feeding and has 6-7 feeding a day. puts her at a max of 21 oz when she should be eating 32 oz. she is gaining weight (i think). So i am going to start pumping and feeding her from bottle so i can monitor how much she is actually eating and try to get her to eat more each feeding, or go back to sleepless nights and wake her up to feed her throughout the night.
it would be nice if i could take her to the doctors, but since i don't have her insurance card yet (i have request 4 of them so far) i cant make her an apt. because i will have to pay 800 dollars out of pocket which i don't have.
Our excitement of the week: The Fourth of July.
we went into Orlando with Rudy (the dog) to spend the fourth of July with my family. Riley absolutely loves them all.
It is so amazing to me to watch how she interacts with other people. With my dad, she "flirts" by smiling at him then tucking her head in to my shoulder and looking at him out of the corner of her eye. When he holds her she is just all smiles. Hayden (little sister) can make my child smile 10x more than she already does (didn't think it was possible) Hayden is like her little mommy, anytime she cried she was the first to shout something out in order to fix the problem! and i don't think she left that baby's side the entire time they were in the house together. And of course Riley loves her "Mimi" (Lisa) who always takes good care of her when we come to visit, although Riley was very very upset with her during our trip to the mall, Lisa gave her some ice cream that ended up all over her face and down her shirt, Riley was sooo upset she started screaming and crying while she just starred at Lisa, i walked away and she calmed down the second i walked back towards Lisa she started screaming again. and Auntie Rye...Anytime i talk to Ryan on the phone Riley starts to smile and get all giddy. She loves her Auntie Rye who gives her all the kisses and squeezes her a whoole lot!
Auntie Rye (big sister) came over with Auntie Feather (sisters friend) so Heather could meet baby Riley. Riley for the first time in 5 weeks was separated from me so i could go out to lunch with sister and friend with out child (it was nice to be able to eat my lunch with out having to tend or entertain someone else) we saw Auntie Rye and Mimi at work before leaving to go back to Melbourne, back to our routine of napping and playing and quiet time. i think the first then we accomplished when we walked in the door is take a 3.5 hour nap, id have to say it was the best nap i have taken in a loong time.
In Other News:
Riley gets to see her daddy in one week from today! She is so excited she keeps peeing herself.
Back to Charlotte we go (for 3 weeks at least).
