9 months:week 3

Toys, laundry, diapers, dishes, blankies, naps, diapers, cuddles, rocking, play dates, diapers wiping tears...and well the other end too... this is what my life has come too... this is what the next 18 years of my life is going to consist of...(hopefully minus the diapers)....and i love it, absolutely love it. YES. it is stressful, yes it is a pain sometimes and overwhelming, but i just remind myself who it is for and i know it is completely worth every bit of stress in the end.. I couldn't imagine my life any other way. She is absolutely amazing and i am so happy to have such a wonderful person in my life.. i will do anything for her, even if it means mopping the floor 3 times in one day (we all know how much fun mopping is!) With that smile you, she can get you to do anything for her. She melts you.. absolutely amazing. that's all i can say... she is absolutely amazing.

Millstones/Developments:
She is stillllll learning how to walk. its so exciting to see her ALMOST do it on her own (more than 2 or 3 steps) but i have gotten to caught up with wanting her to walk that i haven't enjoyed the time i have left that she is not walking. Going out to eat right now is hard enough with that wiggle worm, wanting to stand and move and crawl and get into everything she possibly can...add walking to that. OH BOY am i in trouble! (wrote this earlier in the week)

I definitely have a trouble maker on my hands, a wild child, bratzilla what ever you wanna call it. This girl is in everything, and if she can't get into it she will surely throw a fit about not being able to get into it. If you take it from her she will throw a fit about that too. Terrible twos i am soooo not looking forward to you.

I just try to remember "this too shall pass"

Walking!:

Riley Jane Stewart is walking! She has taken steps before but Saturday was her first day walking next you, holding one of your hands she would walk.. it was a safety thing for her...She wasn't using you for support just to have you there just in case, then today she started walking without holding on to anything... still its only 4-5 steps till she gets freaked out goes to the ground and starts over, but she is covering ground on 2 feet now!

Bustin' Moves!
The long await dancing has arrived, i was just talking to a friend the other day about how i wish Riley would dance because it is SOOOO FREAKING CUTE! and i swear the next day she started bustin' moves. The cutest thing in the world, i laughed so hard i cried!

Mommies Favorite Product of the week/Least favorite product of the week:
Decided that i am going to start posting my favorite product of the week, i have lots of friends that are having babies and maybe this will come in handy for them, or even for myself (in 20 years from now when i have another child)

Rite Aid Brand Diapers "Tugaboos": They are actually decent, they hold well...especially at night (when Riley seems to pee pee more) Haven't had any leak yet.... and that's better than Huggies and Target brand.

Rite Aid Brand Wipes: Are the worst. they smell funky, and they don't do the job... will not buy these again.

Target Brand Diapers: I have tried these a couple of times and i remember each time why i don't buy them often... they make Riley breakout, they don't sit right, they leak and they break apart easily.

Lesson Learned This Week:
1. even though your child has been standing on her own for the past couple months don't trust that she still wont lose her balance and bust her teeth on a crock pot... or the floor several times during the week.
2. do not give Riley a bottle in the car... she squeezes the drop in and gets milk all over her new car seat.
3. if you are patient things tend to work out a little better.

4. a 9 month old CAN understand you... and if you stay completely calm they respond a lot better than if you get worked up over a "no no"

Adventures of the week:

Winter Clothes:
Finally we were able to go get a couple of items to get us started for the winter season. We got a jean jacket, 2 shirts tights, leggings, leg warmers. all we need to get now are some Jeans! and maybe a couple pairs of tights and THAT AWESOME LEATHER JACKET!

PLAY DATE!: (video wouldnt load!!!!)
Riley got to see her little Logan this week (finally). Its fun to watch them play...once you get past the poking in the eyes and hitting each other and the the tears they actually play together now. It is just as entertaining for us as it is for them.
I need to make more of an effort for Riley to have play days and interact with other children, she loves kids and babies and has so much fun even just looking at them...

Wednesday Night Dinners:
Every Wednesday, or the Wednesdays we get to make it out, we have dinner with Johns Grandparents at their church. John and I have been going for the past 2 or 3 years on and off. Riley loves to watch the little kids run around and talk to everyone she can possibly can, she definitely has a great time. Its always great to see them we definitely enjoy their company and Riley Jane loves loves loves to see her Great Mamaw, She laughs and smiles every time she sees her Mamaw and they love seeing Riley as well. I love that she gets to spend sometime with Family members at least once a week, i wish it was more and i wish she was able to see all of her family every week.

Girls Night Out:
Wednesday nights! Yup that is the night i get to be baby free. John has the night off (usually) from work so i get to go out... or stay in, hang out with the girls and be free of baby girl (doesn't mean if i am home still i wont help him) but it is nice to have that one night a week.
So all you mommas (or non mommas) that would like to join in on the fun leave the babies at home with the daddies and come on out!

We are taking it easy this week maybe playing cards and drinking wine. sounds great to me!

Doctors Appointment:
Riley's first doctor appointment (WELL VISIT) since she was 2.5 months old was Friday, She has been for "Sick Visits" but since we were missing the insurance card (which we FINALLY got) they would not see her for a well visit...It amazes me how much she changes each time we go, even just the way she understands what is going on. She got her shots (and is FINALLY caught up!) they tested her Iron level (which was normal) all in all too many pricks for Riley, she was not a happy camper. She weighs 17 lbs 8 oz and is 28 3/4 inches long (in the 75 percentile for height! (she isn't gonna be short like her momma!)
It makes a momma feel really great to hear from your childs doctor that they are impressed with your childs growth, developements and milestones she has reached... she is doing awesome!

SATURDAY NIGHT:
Saturday night we ventured out to Shinville for Alyssa's dads birthday, it was great seeing him again (haven't seen him since i was 4 months pregnant) and it was great hanging out with the girls (plus John Strassner) Riley had a blast, she partied hard (took a little nap) and partied even more practicing her walking with Candice and Alyssa till 3 am.

I am so lucky to have so many friends that love my little girl almost as much as i do. I have such a strong group of girls and guys that take Riley under their wings and care for her as i would. I love you all, i couldn't ask anything more of you.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
